What does a Political Scientist do?

Political scientists study the origin, development and operation of political systems. The job duties of a political scientists include research political subjects; collect and analyse data from sources such as public opinion surveys; or develop and test political theories.

Area of specialization may include public policy, political communication, public administration or democracy and development of a country.

How to become a Political Scientist?

To become a political scientist, you would require to hold a bachelor's degree in political science, writing and statistics; followed by a postgraduate degree in public administration, public policy or public affairs. Some political scientists complete a Ph.D. program, whcih requires several years of coursework followed by independent research for dissertation.
